Who Is Parmod

Someone who thinks
differently about
what a life can hold.

51 years old. A first-generation Australian, eleven years in Sydney after a life lived across 28 countries and five continents. Originally from Amritsar — now, genuinely, home.

Three decades in enterprise technology, most of them spent in rooms where things get decided. The consistent discovery across all those rooms: the quality of a decision has very little to do with the agenda, and everything to do with whether people feel safe enough to say the true thing.

On the trail, at a comedy open mic, writing a memoir, building a community — these aren't hobbies arranged around a career. These are the dimensions of a life expanding into its own shape.

This site exists because the communities worth belonging to are built around people, not institutions. And because the door, at some point, has to open from the inside.

"Built belonging — again and again, in different rooms. That's the career. That's the life."

The Dimensions

One person.
Many rooms.

🏔️

The Hiker

Everest Base Camp. Trails across four continents. The outdoors as a thinking space, not a holiday.

✍️

The Writer

A memoir in progress. A Pattern Log kept honestly. Words as a way of paying attention to what's actually happening.

🎤

The Comedian

Yes, seriously. A stand-up stage, a microphone, a room full of strangers. The most vulnerable room yet.

🌏

The Global

28 countries. Five continents. A mind shaped by many cultures — and not exclusively by any of them.

🤝

The Mentor

Thinking alongside people navigating something real. No frameworks. Honest conversation. That's the offer.

Ask Me Anything

Before we meet —
meet my Twin.

A version of the thinking, available right now. Pick a question — the ones worth asking, rarely asked. If it earns trust, the real conversation is one step behind.

The full Twin — free conversation, any direction — lives in the Living Room. This is the taster.

After a few exchanges, the Twin will suggest whether stepping inside makes sense. No push. Just an honest read of the room.

The Night at the Microphone.

Walking into a room full of strangers with a microphone — that was the most vulnerable it's felt in three decades. More than any boardroom, any difficult client, any crisis situation. That's exactly why it happened. The full performance is inside.

The Long Belonging — Parmod Mehta

The Long Belonging — A Memoir

Years given to institutions that were never really yours — what does that cost, and what does it build? This isn't a leadership book. It's an honest reckoning told through rooms: offices, hotel lobbies, quiet conversations that changed direction. Chapters, themes, and early excerpts are inside.

The Arc

A life in firsts

1996

The Beginning — NIT Jalandhar & Wipro

B.Tech Electronics. Wipro, Bangalore. The start of 30 years in enterprise technology — and a slow education in what rooms are really for.

📍 Amritsar → Bangalore

2000

The Nokia Era — Germany & Eastern Europe

Delivery operations pioneered from Germany. Teams built across Eastern Europe. Leading in rooms that weren't familiar, in cultures that weren't inherited. Loved it.

📍 Hamburg · Warsaw · Prague

2006

MENA & Europe — Consulting at Scale

Expansion across Middle East, North Africa, and broader Europe. 28 countries total. Every market has its own logic — and listening is always the first strategy.

📍 Dubai · London · Riyadh

2012

ANZ — Telstra & the CTO Years

Global Client Partner for Telstra. Then CTO for ANZ. Sydney became home. Australian citizenship. A different kind of story became possible.

📍 Sydney · Melbourne

2022

VP — Cluster Head, ANZ

Consumer, Manufacturing, Energy & Services across Australia and New Zealand. That chapter closed in May 2026 — deliberately, with gratitude, and with clear eyes about what comes next.

What's Next — Expanding

The career continues. The person expands. Mentoring, writing, hiking, building community that travels with the person — not the employer. This site is the door.

📍 Wherever the conversation happens

Parmod Mehta

"The career expands. But now it's one part of the story, not the whole of it."

Pattern Log

Noticing where things
are shifting

A living record of how thinking changes. Not advice. Not a newsletter. Honest notes from someone paying attention to their own patterns as a long chapter closes and new ones open.

"The Fracture Point" — Recognising when a chapter has truly ended

There's a moment in every long tenure when something shifts. Not a decision — a realisation. Sitting with when that actually happened. It wasn't when it seemed.

Softening on competitors — and why that shift matters more than expected

For years the framing was competitive. Now the same landscape reads philosophically. What does that shift say about where things stand now? About what was being defended before?

On backing people against the system — and when it costs you

Ethics over convenience sounds clean as a value. In practice it's a series of small choices with accumulating weight. Would it happen again? Yes. But the price is understood now.
